Indian motorcycle manufacturing heavyweight, TVS Motor Company, has taken a bold step in the electric mobility sector with the launch of its latest electric scooter, simply named “X.” After five years of development from its initial concept as the Creon, the TVS X has finally been revealed to the public.

87.5 Miles on a single charge is actually quite impressive

The new scooter catches the eye with a futuristic yet minimalist design. Features like a vertically stacked LED headlight, naked appearance, and substructures displayed at the center highlight the scooter’s modern styling.

Electric

On the technological front, the TVS X comes with an 11-kilowatt electric motor capable of reaching speeds of up to 65 miles per hour. With three distinctive ride modes – Xealth, Xtride, and Xonic – the scooter offers versatility in performance. The battery specifications also impress, with a 4.44 kilowatt-hour pack promising 87.5 miles on a single charge, and options for fast charging.

Safety has been a priority in the design, with TVS touting the X as India’s first electric scooter with ABS. The integration of Smart Xhield technology provides additional modern safety features, accessible through the scooter’s 10.25-inch display.

At a price of Rs 249,990 (around $3,030), the TVS X finds itself in the premium segment of the market. Bookings will commence in December 2023 and will be rolled out depending on the region.
