iQOO will announce the iQOO Z8 series of smartphones on Aug. 31 in China. The brand has been gradually revealing the key specifications of the Z8 lineup. In recent Weibo posts, the brand has confirmed color variants and the main camera configuration of the iQOO Z8. It has also released camera samples of the device.

The brand confirmed that the iQOO Z8 will be equipped with an OIS-enabled 64-megapixel main camera. In another Weibo post, the brand revealed that it is capable of capturing 2x portrait shots. It is speculated that the Z8 has a 64-megapixel + 2-megapixel dual-camera system. Below are the brand’s Z8 camera samples.

iQOO has also confirmed the color variants of the iQOO Z8. In the image below, the handset can be seen in shades such as Moon Porcelain White, Yaoye Black, and Hoshino Blue.

As per reports, the iQOO Z8 will arrive with a 6.64-inch FHD+ LCD panel that offers a 120Hz refresh rate. It is powered by the Dimensity 8200 chipset and packs a 5,000mAh battery with 120W fast charging. The highest variant of the Z8 is expected to offer 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 512 GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

The iQOO Z8 will come preloaded with OriginOS 3.0-based Android 13. For selfies, it will have a 16-megapixel front camera and a 64-megapixel + 2-megapixel dual-camera system on the back. For security, it will be equipped with a side-facing fingerprint scanner.

The iQOO Z8x that is expected to launch with the iQOO Z8 is said to feature the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chip, up to 12 GB of LPDDR4x RAM, up to 256 GB of UFS 2.2 storage, a 6,000mAh battery with 44W fast charging, and a 50-megapixel dual-camera system. The rest of its specifications are likely to be identical to those of the iQOO Z8.
