Xiaomi, although well-known for its smartphones, has a whole lineup of accessories and other products in different categories of technology. Continuing the trend, the company has now launched the Xiaomi Mijia Magnetic Reading Lamp. Here’s everything you need to know about it including its price and availability. 

Xiaomi Mijia Magnetic Reading Lamp

The lamp is a straight LED lamp with a 36cm lamp head that provides wide-angle lighting coverage for your entire desk. It has a magnetic base that sticks to any surface with a 3M double-sided adhesive. This means you don’t need to drill any holes to install it. The lamp head can be easily detached and used either magnetically attached to the base or handheld.

The light produces 150 lumens of brightness, using an optical lens texture design to minimize eye strain. It uses specially selected lamp beads with a high color rendering index of Ra90, which means it can accurately reproduce the colors of objects. It has also been tested for biosafety and blue light evaluation, ensuring no video flicker and eye protection.

You can easily control the light switch with a gentle touch and adjust the brightness with a long press. Clear visual icons indicate three levels of brightness adjustments.

The lamp comes with a built-in 2000mAh large-capacity battery that can last for 4.5 hours on the highest brightness setting. The lamp head can be adjusted at multiple angles (up to 25°) to avoid direct glare and find the right fill light position based on different lighting needs.

The Mijia Magnetic Reading Light also comes with a standard Type-C interface and a 1.2-meter USB charging cable, making it easy to charge and use anywhere.

Xiaomi Mijia Magnetic Reading Lamp is now available for crowdfunding on Xiaomi Youpin. It starts at 69 yuan and will be available from August 30 at 10:00.
