Nokia is confirmed to launch the G42 smartphone in India on September 11. It launched in global markets in June this year. The Indian variant is expected to come with the same specifications. However, it remains to be seen if the device will come with a user repairability option as Nokia has not teased it yet. Ahead of the official launch next week, Nokia has also teased the pricing of the G42. 

Nokia G42 price in India teased

Nokia has conducted a poll on its Twitter account asking users to guess the price of the G42. Users have to vote out of two options which include Rs 16,xxx and Rs 18,xxx. This hints that the upcoming smartphone may be priced under Rs 18,000 segment. As per the poll, the majority of users have voted for the first option and it leads the second option by a significant difference. We should learn the official pricing and availability details of the Nokia G42 on Monday. 

The Nokia G42 is confirmed to be available from Amazon. It will come with a 6.56-inch HD+ display with a waterdrop notch and a 90Hz refresh rate. It will be equipped with an OZO-powered loudspeaker. The smartphone has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner embedded in the power button and a pill-shaped rear camera module. Under the hood, the Nokia G42 is confirmed to be powered by a Snapdragon 480 chipset with support for 5G. It is teased to pack up to 11GB RAM which includes virtual RAM. The upcoming offering will be eligible for two years of OS updates and three years of security patches. It will be available in Purple and Grey color options. 

As for other specs, the global variant of the Nokia G42 has a 5,000mAh battery with support for 20W fast charging. It is offered in 4GB and 6GB RAM options along with 128GB storage.
