In compliance with EU regulations, Apple released the latest iPhone 15 models with a new USB Type-C port, replacing the traditional Lightning connector. The Cupertino company didn’t stop there, and also introduced a new version of the AirPods Pro 2nd Gen with a USB Type-C charging case. MagSafe charging is also there along with an improved IP54 rating and Lossless Audio with Apple Vision Pro. Here are the details.

A USB-C port on the AirPods Pro 2nd Gen will make it more convenient for users, especially those who plan to get the new iPhone 15 models. You’ll be able to use a single cable to charge your Mac, iPad, AirPods, and the iPhone 15 lineup. Users can even charge their AirPods directly with the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max.

In addition to a new port, the AirPods Pro 2nd Gen also brings lossless Audio with ultra-low latency to accompany the Apple Vision Pro. Apple has included an improved IP54 rating for the earbuds and the case, which offers additional dust resistance.

The rest of the features are the same as the AirPods Pro 2nd Gen, including up to 2x Active Noise Cancellation, an advanced Transparency mode, a more immersive Spatial Audio experience, and an expanded range of ear tip sizes. With iOS 17, the AirPods Pro Gen 2 get even better with new features like Adaptive Audio, Conversation Awareness, and Personalized Volume.

The AirPods Pro 2nd Generation with MagSafe Charging Case (USB-C) will be available for purchase starting September 22, 2023. It will come with a price tag of $249 (Rs 24900 in India).
