Asus and its partners Thermaltake and Silverstone are working on a new standard for PC components and design called the BTF Alliance. One of the key goals of the BTF Alliance is to eliminate or hide as many cables as possible.

As part of this effort, Asus has released the GeForce RTX 4070 BTF graphics card, which is cable-free. This means that you don’t need to connect any additional power cables to the card, which can make for a cleaner and more streamlined build.

The RTX 4070 BTF uses a proprietary connector called the “GC-HPWR”, that eliminates the need to lay and connect additional cables, giving you a more attractive appearance of the assembled system. The connector replaces the traditional 12VHPWR and 8-pin power connectors and can deliver up to 600W of power without any cables.

However, this requires a special motherboard that is equipped with the necessary connector. Without it, the graphics card will not work.

As a result, Asus has also released the TUF Gaming B760M-BTF WIFI motherboard, which is the only motherboard currently compatible with the RTX 4070 BTF. This motherboard is designed in collaboration with DIY-APE, and it features a white and turquoise color scheme.

In addition to the motherboard and graphics card, ASUS has also released the GT502 computer case, which is designed to work with the BTF components. This case has a special cutout on the back that allows you to route the power cables through the back of the motherboard, instead of having them exposed.

Asus is currently selling its BTF GPU and motherboard “packages” in China, priced at RMB 6,998 / USD 962. For those looking to go one step ahead, the motherboard, GPU, and the GT502 chassis package retail for RMB 8,297 / USD 1140.
