Xiaomi has unveiled the Mijia Smart Electric Kettle 5L, available for crowdfunding reservations starting September 18th. The official crowdfunding campaign runs from September 20th to October 4th on the Xiaomi Youpin platform. Let’s check out the key features of this smart kettle.

The new electric kettle from Xiaomi features a baby-grade glass inner lining for high-quality water boiling. It includes a durable 316 stainless steel heating plate and operates at a powerful 1600W, allowing it to boil 5 liters of water in approximately 18 minutes.
The kettle stands out with its advanced cooling circulation system, which rapidly cools boiled water, reducing waiting times. It has a spacious 5L capacity, equivalent to 20 cups, and offers three boiling modes: tap water, purified water, or cold water.
The Mijia Smart Electric Kettle features a user-friendly touch control panel for setting water temperature between 40℃ to 90℃. Safety is prioritized with a double-layer isolation design, comprising a glass liner and a PP outer shell, to prevent scalding during use.
The smart kettle also offers a unique altitude-detection feature for accurate boiling point calculation in high-altitude areas. It includes a built-in night light for convenience during late-night use. Additionally, it connects to the Mi Home App, allowing users to customize water temperatures using their smartphones.
Xiaomi Mijia Smart Electric Kettle 5L is priced at 269 yuan ($36). Xiaomi also recently unveiled the Mijia Portable Electric Heating Cup 2 in China, priced at 149 yuan ($20).
