Vivo has silently launched a new Y-series phone called the Vivo Y17s in Singapore. It is an entry-level offering that features a teardrop notch display on the front and a 50-megapixel dual-camera system on the back. It features a MediaTek chip and a big battery. The Vivo Y17s houses a 6.56-inch IPS LCD panel that offers an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1612 pixels, a 60Hz refresh rate, an 83 percent NTSC color gamut, 840 nits of brightness, and a 269 ppi pixel density. On the front, the Y17s is equipped with an 8-megapixel selfie camera, and its back panel features a 50-megapixel primary camera and a 2-megapixel bokeh snapper.

Under the hood, the Vivo Y17s features the MediaTek Helio G85 chipset, 6 GB of LPDDR4x RAM, and 128 GB of eMMC 5.1 storage. For more storage, the device is equipped with a dedicated microSD card slot. The phone runs on Android 13 with a layer of FunTouch OS 13.
