After a slight delay, the September 2023 update for Pixel smartphones and tablets is finally here. The update is now live for Pixel 4a, Pixel 5, Pixel 5a, Pixel 6 Series, Pixel 7 Series, Pixel Tablet, and Pixel Fold. The carrier-locked Pixel devices are also receiving the update in the US. This time Google didn’t add any feature enhancement for the Pixels, but did add plenty of security fixes via the Android September 2023 security patch and separate Pixel Security update.

There are a bunch of improvements and fixes at the Android OS level for the issues having high severity. Another critical issue with ARM architecture with ID CVE-2023-4211 is fixed via the latest update.

It is now rolling out to all the users across the globe, the Pixel Tablet is receiving firmware TQ3A.230901.001.B1 and the Pixel Fold is enjoying TQ3C.230901.001.A1 firmware. Details for other devices are listed below:

The OTA update is rolling out in phases and may take some time to reach each device depending upon carrier and device. The users can manually check for the update by heading to Settings > About > Check for updates. Interested users can directly flash the OTA update by downloading the respective files from here.
