In a recent teaser, vivo has stirred up excitement by hinting at the impending launch of the V29 series smartphones in India. These devices are the latest additions to the company’s popular V series, following the introduction of the V29 just a month ago.
While the teaser itself just mentions that the V29 series is “coming soon”. That being said, FoneArena has also spotted the phrase “Stay Tuned till We Meet on October 4,” which hints at an October 4 Indian launch date.
The teaser offers a sneak peek into the key features of the V29 series. The device will offer three color options: Himalayan Blue, Majestic Red, and Space Black. Notably, the Majestic Red edition features Color Changing Glass, meanwhile, the Himalayan Blue variant has something called the 3D Particle Technology.
It’s quite clear that the V29 series is all about photography as it includes an Aura Light LED on the back which adjusts the intensity of the light depending on the surroundings to deliver the best images in portrait mode. Additionally, Vivo is also adding the Indian wedding-style portrait mode to the devices. Let’s take a look at what else we know about these smartphones so far.

The vivo V29 5G packs some impressive hardware under the hood, including a spacious 6.78-inch Full HD AMOLED display with a high refresh rate of 120Hz and HDR10+ support. Running on the Snapdragon 778G 6nm SoC, it promises snappy performance and is paired with 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and storage options of 256GB or 512GB.
Photography enthusiasts can look forward to a versatile camera setup, featuring a 50MP primary rear camera, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 2MP camera complemented by the alluring Aura Light ring LED. On the front, the V29 boasts a 50MP autofocus camera for capturing stunning selfies.
Other notable features include an in-display fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers, and Hi-Res audio. The device is also dust and water-resistant with an IP68 rating.
Additionally, Vivo has confirmed that the V29 Pro features a cutting-edge 2x pro portrait camera equipped with a 12MP Sony IMX663 sensor, promising flawless edge detection and stunning background bokeh.
