ECD Automotive Design, renowned for customizing Land Rovers, is entering new territory with its first electric Jaguar E-Type. Dubbed Project Narragansett, the car features ECD’s own second-generation EV powertrain and is aimed at a Rhode Island-based customer.

The car is just shy of $300,000, which is bound to put a hole in any pocket

Switching from refurbished Tesla parts to an in-house EV system, ECD aims for improved efficiency and charging times. The 42 kWh battery in the E-Type offers a 150-mile range and charges from 10 to 80 percent in under an hour. The powertrain churns out 295 horsepower and includes features like creep mode and cruise control.

Project Narragansett is not just a tech wonder but also a luxury vehicle. It comes loaded with amenities like ventilated seats, a premium JL audio system, and front and rear dash cams. It maintains classic aesthetics with restored 16-inch wheels wrapped in Pirelli tires.

With a starting price of $289,995, the electric E-Type is a blend of old-school charm and modern tech. ECD’s entry into electric Jaguars signals the firm’s diversification and could shape the future of luxury car customization.
