After recently launching the Galaxy Watch 6 Thom Browne Edition smartwatch, Samsung has now unveiled the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic PXG Edition. This isn’t the first time Samsung has teamed up with Parsons Xtreme Golf (PXG), having previously collaborated in 2021 with the Galaxy Watch 4 series.

The Galaxy Watch 6 Classic PXG Edition, like its predecessors, is tailor-made for golf enthusiasts. Samsung has gone the extra mile by pre-installing the Smart Caddy app, a golfer’s trusted companion, on this special edition watch. But that’s not all; this package comes with six golf balls and a stylish carry case, ensuring golfers have everything they need for their game.

In the style department, Samsung doesn’t disappoint. The watch comes with two special edition watchbands and two complimentary watch faces, adding a touch of luxury to your golfing attire.

Functionally, the Galaxy Watch6 Classic PXG Edition remains identical to its regular counterpart, offering all the features and performance you’d expect from this series.

Pricing & availability

Currently, Samsung has launched this special edition exclusively in South Korea. It’s priced at KRW 869,000 (~$655) for the 43 mm variant and KRW 899,000 (~$678) for the 47 mm model. As for global availability, Samsung has remained tight-lipped for now.

The Galaxy Watch 6 series by Samsung comes with thinner bezels compared to their predecessors. They sport Sapphire Crystal Super AMOLED panels with full-color Always-On-Display (AOD) for vibrant visuals.

The 40mm Galaxy Watch 6 offers a 1.3-inch screen and a 300mAh battery, while the larger 44mm version boasts a 1.5-inch display and a 400mAh battery. The Galaxy Watch 6 Classic comes in a 43mm model with a 1.3-inch screen and a 47mm variant with a 1.5-inch panel. Battery life is impressive, with up to 30 hours with AOD on and up to 40 hours with it off.

Health tracking is a strong suit of the Galaxy Watch 6 series, featuring the Samsung BioActive Sensor for heart rate monitoring and other health metrics. These watches also include sensors like an accelerometer, barometer, gyro, geomagnetic sensor, and light sensor.

Running on Google’s Wear OS-based One UI 5, these smartwatches offer a user-friendly experience. They support WPC-based wireless fast charging and offer connectivity options like LTE, Wi-Fi 2, NFC, and GPS. Additionally, they come with 5ATM and IP68 ratings for durability and water resistance.
