After multiple leaks and public certification, Samsung silently launched the Galaxy A05 and Galaxy A05s smartphones. Bundling new chipsets, improved design, and enhanced charging speeds, the smartphones are now launched in Malaysia. The smartphone will surely compete against the devices in the affordable market segment. Let’s dive into the specifications and feature details of both smartphones:

Samsung Galaxy A05 Specs
The Samsung Galaxy A05 bundles a 6.7-inch PLS LCD display with HD+ resolution. It is paired with the MediaTek Helio G85 SoC and offers 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. Interestingly, it does have a MicroSD card slot along with a dual-SIM tray.
It is coupled with a dual-rear camera sensor carrying a 50MP primary camera and a 2MP depth sensor. There’s an 8MP front-facing sensor for selfies and video calling. The smartphone can record 1080p video at 60 frames per second. It houses a 5000mAh battery with 25W fast charging capability. Unfortunately, there’s no fingerprint sensor on Galaxy A05.
Samsung Galaxy A05s Specs
The smartphone features slightly better specifications than the Galaxy A05. It comes with a 6.7-inch PLS LCD display having Full HD+ resolution and offers a 90Hz refresh rate. Samsung Galaxy A05s is powered with Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 SoC coupling the same 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.
In the camera department, the smartphone offers a 50MP primary sensor, a 2MP depth camera, and a 2MP macro lens. While a 13MP sensor is present on the front for selfies.
Both have the same 5000mAh battery with 25W fast charging. The Galaxy A05s is slated to receive updates for the next few years and it even houses a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. In Connectivity, they both feature support for 4G LTE, GPS, Bluetooth 5.3, USB 2.0 Type-C, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The smartphones will retail in three color options Black, Light Green, and Silver.
