Razer has announced a new lineup of gamer lamps, light bulbs, and light strips. This is the brand’s first foray into that segment of the gaming ecosystem. The new RGB light bulbs from Razer underscores the brand’s DNA of providing RGB in a wide variety of products. The Razer Aether Lights consist of the Aether Lamp, Aether Lamp Pro, Aether Lightbulbs, and Ather Light strips. The new products were announced at RazerCon2023.
The new Razer products are under the Gamer Room category. It is a collection of Chroma RGB-infused lights that helps to amplify a gamer’s battle station, according to Razer. The Ather Lamp features single-zone lighting, unlike the Pro version with multi-zone lighting. The Aether Lamp Pro is a pair of desk lamps that can sync with the home’s lighting system. The Aether Lamp omits some of the Pro version’s tactile controls. The Aether Lightbulbs and light strips can be customized using the Razer Gamer Room app.
All the new Razer lights are Matter-compatible and will integrate seamlessly into any smart home system. The lights work with any other smart home hubs that support Matter and offer voice assistant support. The Aether Lamp is priced at $80 while the Aether Lamp Pro retails at $130. The light bulbs cost $50 each while the footlight strip is priced at $130. The light strip has a 3-foot extender that costs $30. All three light bulbs will be released within Q4 of 2023.
