Razer is taking a trip down memory lane to mark a major milestone. To celebrate its 20th anniversary, the company has officially relaunched the Boomslang, the very first gaming mouse that put Razer on the map. So here’s everything you need to know.

Originally released at a time when gaming peripherals were still finding their footing, the Boomslang became a cult classic among competitive gamers. Its return isn’t just about nostalgia; it also highlights how far gaming hardware has evolved over the last two decades, while paying homage to the product that started it all for Razer. To recall, Razer first unveiled the Boomslang back in 1999.

Unlike modern day gaming mice, the Boomslang has an iconic design like no other. And for the 20th anniversary, Razer is bringing modern upgrades to its first gaming mouse. The eye catching snakehead design makes a return with a body blending both semi transparent parts with leather covering on the left and right clicks. The 20th anniversary Boomslang gets Razer’s Gen 4 optical switches and Gen 2 Focus Pro 25K optical sensor.

This is now a wireless mouse with wireless charging support, Chroma RGB compatibility, and eight easy controls. You also get the Razer Mouse Dock Pro that brings support for HyperPolling up to 8,000Hz. Razer has released the Boomslang 20th Anniversary gaming mouse is a limited edition model, with only 1,337 units available globally. While an official launch date and price are still unknown, it will be exclusively sold through Razer’s official websites and retail stores.
