After the global launch back in July, Sony has now launched its flagship WF-1000XM5 TWS earbuds in India. These earbuds mark a significant upgrade over their predecessor, the WF-1000XM4, offering users an enhanced listening journey.

One of the standout upgrades is the enhanced noise cancellation powered by Sony’s Integrated Processor V2 and HD Noise Cancelling Processor QN2e. These components work together to provide superior noise cancellation, ensuring your listening experience remains undisturbed by ambient sounds. The earbuds eliminate low-frequency noise using the three built-in microphones in each earbud.
Sound quality has also received a boost thanks to Sony’s new Dynamic Driver X. This driver promises a wider range of frequencies, deeper bass, and clearer vocals. The WF-1000XM5 also supports High-Resolution Audio Wireless via LDAC and features real-time music upscaling with DSEE Extreme.

Additional features like Adaptive Sound Control, Speak-to-Chat, multipoint connectivity for two devices, voice assistant support, and up to 8 hours of battery life make these earbuds versatile and user-friendly. Plus, a quick 3-minute charge can provide up to an hour of playback time.
Sony is also committed to sustainability, using recycled plastic materials and eco-friendly packaging for the WF-1000XM5. These earbuds also come with an IPX4 water resistance rating and Qi wireless charging compatibility.
Pricing & availability
Priced at Rs. 24,990, the Sony WF-1000XM5 is available in both Black and platinum silver colors. However, you have the opportunity to pre-book them from September 27th to October 15th and snag the earbuds for a reduced price of Rs. 21,990, which includes a Rs. 3,000 cashback. Additionally, all pre-bookings come with a bonus: a free SRS-XB100 portable speaker worth Rs. 4,990.
