On April 1, 2022, Nothing, the tech startup led by Carl Pei, teased a new product on its Twitter and Instagram accounts. The teaser image showed a can of beer with the Nothing logo and the text “Beer (5.1%)”. Many people assumed that the teaser was an April Fools’ joke, but Nothing insisted that the product was real.

Nothing Beer (5.1%)

On the following day, Nothing released more information about the Nothing Beer which said that the beer is a dry, unfiltered rice lager with a hint of pear. It is brewed by Freetime Beer Company, a microbrewery based in Swansea, Wales and it has an ABV of 5.1%. While this all might have looked like an elaborate joke at that time, Nothing surprised the tech community by actually launching the Beer earlier today in the UK.

Nothing describes the Beer (5.1%) as a crisp, unfiltered rice lager. It features a subtle malt profile perfectly balanced with Kazbek hops, making for a technically refreshing drink.
