The stable version of Android 14 was released last week. This year’s Android arrived later than previous generations.
However, as soon as the software went official, a few partner OEMs revealed their update plans. Some of them even started rolling out the update to eligible devices.
For the unaware, Oppo was the first partner OEM to seed Android 13 stable to its devices. But this year, although the company is running beta programs for more devices than in previous years, none of the products received a stable release yet.
We now know why Oppo is slower this time around. ColorOS 14 will be officially announced on November 16 at the Oppo Developer Conference. The company disclosed this information earlier today.
It even announced beta program schedule for its older premium and mid-range devices. All of them will be part of the beta program by December itself.
