Samsung launched the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro back in August 2022, with features such as highly effective active noise cancellation, 24-bit Hi-Fi sound, voice detect, and more. Ever since its launch, Samsung has periodically updated the earphones, bringing new features onboard. Now, another such update has arrived with Bluetooth Auracast support.
This update, identified as firmware version R510XXUAWI2 or R510XXU0AWI2, comes in at a compact 5.88 MB in size. As mentioned above, the standout feature of this update is Bluetooth Auracast, a technology Samsung introduced last year. It enables users to stream audio to multiple Bluetooth wireless earbuds or speakers, making it ideal for shared music experiences. However, it’s worth noting that this feature exclusively functions with earbuds that support LE Audio.
To access it, users can use the Galaxy Wearable App. Just head to the hamburger menu on the left, select Galaxy Buds 2 Pro, go to Earbuds Settings, choose Earbuds software update, and hit Download and Install
In related news, Samsung has recently debuted the Galaxy Buds FE, a more affordable option for Galaxy users looking to delve into Samsung’s eco-system. That being said, Buds FE lacks some features in the more premium versions. You can read more about the Galaxy Buds FE by clicking the link.
