Apple is apparently gearing up to launch new iPad models soon. A fresh report has hinted that the company is planning on releasing brand-new iPad, iPad Air, and iPad Mini later this week. So here are all the details.

New Apple iPad, iPad Air, and iPad Mini could launch tomorrow

The news arrives from a 9To5Mac report. Sources close to the matter have claimed that the Cupertino based giant aims to release a new iPad, iPad Air, and iPad Mini tomorrow (17th October 2023). However, this report is in contrast to known analyst Mark Gurman, who believes that new tablets from Apple will likely be announced by the end of this year.

But in the latest report, the company is expected to launch the new iPads soon. Apple typically unveils new tablets a month after the new iPhone launches. So it would make sense that fresh iPads are just around the corner. But unfortunately, no official announcements have been made yet. The new iPads will feature refreshed specifications like an upgraded chipset. The last iPad Air was launched with the M1 chipset, while the iPad Mini and base iPad features the A15 Bionic and A14 Bionic processors respectively.

So the iPad Air will likely get the updated M2 chipset, and the iPad Mini and base iPad could get upgraded to the A16 Bionic SoC. In a recent report, we also covered how the iPad Mini 7 won’t feature a 120Hz ProMotion display. The screen could also house a new controller to address the jelly scrolling issue that affects the current generation iPad Mini.
