OnePlus and BOE announce X1 Oriental Screen

The X1 Oriental Screen is touted to be the world’s first 2K display to bag the DisplayMate A+ certification. It will offer top-notch color accuracy, brightness, and overall display quality. The Oriental Screen uses OPPO’s first-generation Display P1 chipset for high-precision pixel-level calibration algorithms for superior picture quality and lower power consumption. There is also a single-pixel calibration technology that ensures each pixel is calibrated independently to deliver grainless and pure visual experience.

For eye protection, the Oriental Screen packs high-frequency PWM Dimming, blue light filtering, and DC Dimming. It is said to have a peak brightness of 2,600 nits which is the highest in the industry for a 2K screen. It will offer more visibility outdoors and a vivid HDR. BOE has also addressed the issue of OLED life decay with the Oriental Screen said to have a lifespan of more than 2 times the industry average.
