After various leaks and teasers, the Lava Blaze 2 5G has finally been announced in the Indian market. The company has launched the new 5G smartphone for an affordable price tag, so here’s everything you need to know about this device.

Despite being a budget handset, the brand focused on bringing an attractive design to the new Blaze 2 5G. It sports a glossy rear panel, which also houses a large circular camera island. The device has a flat back with curved edges, measuring just 8.45mm in thickness and 203 grams in weight. On the front, the Lava Blaze 2 5G sports a 6.56-inch LCD panel that offers an HD+ resolution, a 2.5D curved screen, and a 90Hz refresh rate. The display also houses a center aligned punch hole cutout for the selfie camera.

Under the hood, the Blaze 2 5G is equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 6020 SoC that is paired with the Mali G57 GPU. The smartphone offers up to 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The storage can be further expanded by up to 1TB via a microSD card slot. Interestingly, the RAM can also be increased by an additional 6GB through the virtual RAM expansion technology.

The Lava Blaze 2 5G runs on Android 13 OS out of the box and offers Dual SIM support. A large 5,000mAh battery pack powers this device, which supports 18W fast charging as well. The rear packs a 50-megapixel primary sensor along with a secondary AI camera and ring LED light. Meanwhile, the front houses an 8-megapixel shooter for selfies and video calls. Other notable features include FM Radio, a 3.5mm headphone jack, side mounted fingerprint scanner, Bluetooth 5.1, and USB Type-C port.

The Lava Blaze 2 5G has been announced in multiple color options, namely Glass Black, Glass Blue, and Glass Lavender. It has a starting price tag of 9,999 INR (roughly 120 US Dollars) for its 4GB + 64GB model. On the other hand, the 6GB + 128GB variant costs 10,999 INR (roughly 132 US Dollars). The device will hit the shelves on November 9 and will be sold via the company’s official website and Amazon. Lava is even offering a free service at home to customers.
