Vivo is gearing up to launch its X100 series flagship smartphones on November 13 in China. Ahead of the launch, reliable tipster Digital Chat Statio (DCS) has revealed some key details about the vanilla X100’s camera.

Vivo X100 Camera Details

According to the tipster, the Vivo X100 will feature a triple rear camera system led by a Sony IMX920 sensor with a large aperture of f/1.57. It will be joined by an ultrawide sensor and a periscope tele-macro lens with an f/2.57 aperture and a 3x optical zoom.

The setup will also cover a wide range of focal lengths, from 15mm to 70mm. This will allow users to take a variety of shots, from landscapes to close-ups.

Vivo X100 Camera Specifications

Interestingly, while the X100 Pro is rumored to feature the new Vario-Apo-Sonnar lenses, the vanilla X100 will likely keep the Vario-Tessar lenses, as DCS says the phone is branded as such.

The tipster also mentioned that the “Sony IMX920” is an internal reference model name and that Sony is currently emphasizing its Lytia brand name. Thus, the final marketing name of the IMX920 may be in the “LYT8xx series”.

Other key specifications revealed by Digital Chat Station include a 1.5K BOE-centered single-hole curved screen with short-focus optical fingerprint support for enhanced security.

It will likely be a 6.78-inch screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. Likewise, the device will be powered by a Dimensity 9300 processor with up to 16GB of LPDDR5T RAM and up to 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage.

As for the pricing, a recent listing on a Chinese e-commerce platform suggests that the Vivo X100 is expected to carry a starting price of 3,999 CNY (~$546) in China. We will learn more about the device when it launches next week.
