In a recent report, renders of the Samsung Galaxy Fit 3 were revealed, giving us the first look at what the upcoming smart band would look like. The smart band has now emerged on the BIS certification website as well.

The Galaxy Fit 3 smart band with model number “SM-R390” has been spotted on the Bureau of Indian Standards by folks at TheTechoutlook. Although the certification does not give any details regarding the specifications, it does mean that the authorities have greenlit a potential future launch of the smart band in India.

Although there is no solid specification information available on the Galaxy Fit 3 at this moment, we do know some details about the smartwatch. We know that it is designed with a larger display capsule compared to its predecessor, featuring a sleek metallic design for enhanced aesthetics. Notably, the watchband is replaced by non-removable straps, offering a different yet streamlined build. The device is equipped with a button on the right edge, although its specific function remains unspecified.

Leaked renders suggest a rose gold variant with a light pink strap, hinting at potential multiple color options upon launch. There’s speculation about a shift to the Android OS from the previous rtOS-based system, potentially unlocking more features for the Galaxy Fit 3. In terms of health tracking, the device incorporates an optical heart rate monitoring sensor on the back and utilizes Pogo pins for charging. The smart band was also spotted in FCC documents a couple of months ago, suggesting that Samsung is gearing up for a global launch soon.
