At the Artificial Intelligence Forum, Samsung introduced “Samsung Gauss,” a powerful generative AI model named after mathematician Carl Friedrich Gauss. This AI model marks a significant advancement in Samsung’s technology, designed to improve user experiences and productivity. Now the company has presented this AI model again at the ongoing two-day Samsung Developer Conference (SDC) Korea 2023, which began on November 14th in Seoul.

Samsung Gauss will support multiple languages

The Samsung Gauss AI suite consists of three specialized components: Samsung Gauss Language for linguistic tasks like email composition and translation, Samsung Gauss Code for coding assistance in software development, and Samsung Gauss Image for image generation and editing, reflecting Samsung’s dedication to generative AI in various domains.

Lee Joo-hyung from Samsung Research’s Global AI Center highlighted that Samsung Gauss goes beyond language understanding and generation. It aims to enhance user-device interaction, providing a more intuitive and natural experience. This technology is expected to offer users convenience, personalization, and the ability to engage in creative activities with Samsung devices.

Additionally, the AI operates on-device, ensuring that consumer data is processed and stored locally, addressing common concerns about data security in AI applications.
