OnePlus has initiated the OxygenOS 14 Closed Beta Program for its 8T and 9R smartphone models in India. This program offers users the chance to preview the upcoming OxygenOS 14 and actively contribute to its enhancement.

OnePlus 8T

OnePlus 8T Closed Beta Program:

OnePlus is currently accepting applications for the OnePlus 8T Closed Beta Program from Indian users interested in exploring the new OxygenOS 14 features ahead of the official release. The program is limited to 200 participants and is open to active OnePlus Community members willing to provide feedback and suggestions. Participants must use the Indian variant of the OnePlus 8T and be prepared for potential data loss due to flashing builds.

To be eligible, users need to ensure their OnePlus 8T is updated to version KB2001_13.1.0.582(EX01). Applications are being accepted from November 13 until the allocated slots are filled. Successful applicants will receive the OxygenOS 14 version within three work days of passing the review.

OnePlus 9R Closed Beta Program:

Simultaneously, OnePlus is extending the OxygenOS 14 Closed Beta Program to OnePlus 9R Indian variant users. Similar to the 8T program, this initiative invites 200 active OnePlus Community members to participate in the closed beta testing phase.

OnePlus 9R

Participants in the OnePlus 9R Closed Beta Program must be willing to tolerate potential instability, data loss due to flashing builds, and incompatibility issues with third-party applications. Eligibility criteria include using a OnePlus 9R India variant, active community involvement, and regular communication with the OnePlus team through the Feedback APP and CBT Telegram group.

To apply, OnePlus 9R users need to confirm their phone’s update to version LE2101_13.1.0.583(EX01). The application window is open from November 13 until the specified number of applications is reached.

Known Issues and Application Process:

Both Closed Beta Programs acknowledge some known issues, such as missing online ringtones on the Contact page, screen flashing when opening the Weather card on Shelf, and a stuttering issue when enabling “Hide gesture guide bar” without transition animation. Participants are encouraged to update third-party applications to the latest versions in the Play Store to address potential compatibility issues with Android 14.

The application process involves a thorough review, with successful applicants receiving the OxygenOS 14 version within three workdays after the application channel closes.

OnePlus emphasizes the confidentiality of the Closed Beta Program, prohibiting participants from sharing installation packages or any internal beta-related content outside the project team. To ensure effective communication, participants will receive a Telegram group invitation upon successful application verification.
