Earlier today, Oppo officially unveiled ColorOS 14 at its annual developer conference in China. Unlike the last two years, the company announced the new version of its mobile software late.
But it has started pushing stable builds for the first batch of devices from today itself. Let’s go through the details.
Oppo says that the ColorOS 14 stable update based on Android 14 is currently being rolled out to the following devices in China.
- Oppo Find N2
- Oppo Find N2 Flip
- Oppo Find X6 Pro
- Oppo Find X6
- OnePlus 11
- Oppo Reno 9 Pro
But outside mainland China, the update is only live for the Oppo Find N2 Flip and OnePlus 11. For the latter, the update arrives as OxygenOS 14 in global markets.
We expect the rollout to be faster than ColorOS 13 because Oppo has been continuously improving its software update delivery prowess every year. A lot more devices are already part of the ColorOS 14 beta program compared to the ColorOS 13 beta initiative last year this time.
Unfortunately, Oppo couldn’t be the first non-Google OEM to release the Android 14 stable update as that title belongs to Tecno. Anyways, it will probably be only second to Samsung in terms of rolling out the Android 14 update for eligible devices worldwide.
