Nudia’s Red Magic 9 Pro series is officially slated for release on November 23. The company has been steadily releasing teasers, gradually revealing the smartphone’s features.

In a new development, Red Magic has confirmed that the 9 Pro will come with a self-developed gaming chip, the Red Core R2 Pro. 

As per Red Magic, the custom SoC will enhance the gaming experience by offering customizable controls, vibration effects, sound effects, lighting effects, and intelligent scene recognition algorithms.

Earlier teasers had already shed light on the Red Magic 9 Pro series’ hardware prowess. The smartphones will be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. 

True to its gaming phone identity, the 9 Pro will also feature RGB lights, an industry-first custom RGB fan lighting effect, and new RGB gaming shoulder keys for enhanced control.

The device will sport a 6.8-inch display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. For optics, the 9 Pro is expected to carry a 50MP GN5 OIS and 50MP JN1 rear camera setup, along with an under-display camera on the front.

Powering the Red Magic 9 Pro series is a sizeable 6500mAh battery that supports 80W fast charging. Further details about the smartphone are expected to emerge in the lead-up to its launch.
