Yesterday, Xiaomi announced the Mijia 518L, a new slim built-in cross refrigerator, set to be launched on November 29th. Now the product has been listed on JD.com for 4599 yuan ($644), though its official price might be revised.

The Mijia refrigerator, designed to be compact, offers an impressive 521 liters of capacity. Xiaomi has shared this information on Weibo, highlighting the appliance’s efficient space utilization. The launch date of this refrigerator coincides with that of the Redmi K70 series, marking a significant day for Xiaomi with multiple high-profile releases.
The refrigerator features a sleek design with a slim profile, measuring 597mm in depth and occupying only 0.545m² of space, making it an excellent choice for modern kitchens with limited space. Its front panel is designed to align seamlessly with kitchen cabinets, enhancing its aesthetic appeal.
The refrigerator also offers convenient features such as a 90° right-angle door opening and a bottom-front heat dissipation system. Additionally, the ice feather white natural texture panel not only adds to its visual appeal but also provides practical benefits like resistance to oil, ease of cleaning, and durability.
It includes a silver ion antibacterial and deodorizing module to maintain a fresh internal environment. The refrigerator ensures even cooling and defrosting with a 360° air cooling cycle. Its combination of an inverter compressor, fan, and 6 temperature sensors enables precise temperature control while remaining energy-efficient, consuming less than one degree of electricity per day.
In terms of storage, the refrigerator offers an impressive 521 liters total capacity, divided into various zones: 358L for refrigeration, 78L for freezing, and an 82L wide-temperature zone. The latter is equipped with 6 high-precision sensors, allowing temperature adjustments from -20°C to 5°C. Additionally, there’s a specialized humidity preservation drawer and a mother and baby zone with a sealed, temperature-adjustable drawer.
Adding to its smart features, the Mijia 518L refrigerator integrates Xiaomi HyperOS Connect for remote control via the Mi Home App.
