Yesterday, Realme held a launch event in China to announce the Realme GT 5 Pro, featuring the all-new Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. The device is now up for pre-orders and is scheduled to go on sale starting Dec. 14. Soon after making it available on pre-orders, the company took to Weibo to talk about the market response that the GT 5 Pro is receiving.
Realme GT 5 Pro pre-sale

As per the official announcement from Realme, the Realme GT 5 Pro witnessed an impressive surge in pre-sale figures, surpassing the entire day’s pre-sale volume of the GT Neo 5 within just one hour. The first day of pre-sale for the GT5 Pro exhibited a remarkable tenfold increase when compared to the corresponding period for the GT 2 Pro last year.
Realme and its Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) in China, Xu Qi, have praised the GT 5 Pro for its exceptional price-to-performance ratio. The smartphone rivals the likes of other Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 flagship phones, such as the Xiaomi 14 series, the iQOO 12 series, the Meizu 21, the Redmi K70 Pro, and the OnePlus 12 in the Chinese market.
The Realme GT 5 Pro is the company’s first smartphone to support wireless charging (50W), a USB 3.2-enabled USB-C port, an IP64-rated chassis, an aluminium alloy frame, and a periscope telephoto camera. While the phone starts at 3,399 Yuan (~$477) for the 12 GB RAM + 256 GB variant, it will be sold with a 100 Yuan discount on its first sale.
