Back to the ROG Phone 8, the device was recently spotted on Geekbench alongside the ROG Phone 8 Pro. Both of these smartphones will feature the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, alongside a new back design. The Geekbench listing also revealed that the vanilla model features 16GB RAM, while the Pro model has 24GB RAM onboard. Another interesting fact is that while the vanilla model has a standard Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, the Pro model appears to feature an overclocked version with higher clock speed on its prime core.

The third and final variant is expected to be the ROG Phone 8 Ultimate, featuring an overclocked Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip and an impressive 24GB of RAM. Further details about these devices are anticipated to emerge in the coming days. Meanwhile, it’s worth turning attention to the Red Magic 9 series, standing as the sole rival to the ROG Phone following the exit of the Lenovo Legion Phone from the gaming phone arena.
