Huawei held an event in Dubai yesterday where it unveiled the MatePad Pro 13.2 and FreeClip open ear buds for the global markets. The brand also announced an additional tablet called the MatePad Air PaperMate Edition. It is similar to the MatePad Air that debuted in China earlier in May this year. Huawei MatePad Air PaperMate Edition specifications and features

The Huawei MatePad Air PaperMate Edition has an 11.5-inch screen bearing a resolution of 2,800 x 1,840 pixels. It features a 144Hz refresh rate. The display has a nano-level anti-glare etching technology that is said to eliminate light interference and also offer a paper-like visual experience. The tablet is compatible with the second-generation Huawei M-Pencil with 4,096-level pressure sensitivity and is touted to offer the experience of pen on paper. 

The Huawei MatePad Air PaperMate Edition is 6.5mm thin and weighs just 509 grams. The back panel has a pill-shaped camera module housing a single 13MP sensor. There is an 8MP front-facing selfie snapper. Audio-wise, the tablet is equipped with four speakers and four microphones. 

Internally, the Huawei MatePad Air PaperMate Edition is powered by a Snapdragon 888 processor. It packs 12GB RAM and 256GB storage onboard. The device is backed by a 8,300mAh battery unit with support for 40W charging. Software-wise, the tablet runs on HarmonyOS 3.1 out of the box with various features. 

The Huawei MatePad Air PaperMate Edition is priced at EUR 649. It ships with a bundled keyboard.
