Samsung is gearing up to unveil a brand-new rugged smartphone soon. The device in question is the Galaxy XCover 7, which was recently spotted by a certification authority from Thailand. This hints at an imminent launch, so here are all the details.

The South Korean tech giant’s Galaxy XCover 7 was recently spotted on the NBTC database. Looking at the online listing, the smartphone carries the model number SM-G556B. Unfortunately, the NBTC certification did not reveal any other finer details regarding the smartphone. But it does hint that its launch is near. Furthermore, a couple of our previous reports have offered us better insight regarding this device. To recall, the Galaxy XCover 7 is expected to be a rugged version of the Galaxy A55 5G.

The Galaxy XCover 7 had previously surfaced on Bluetooth SIG, GCF, GeekBench, and BIS. This means that it will launch in the global market soon. These offered us a look at some of its specifications while a leak also revealed its official renders. Based on what we know so far, the Galaxy XCover 7 is equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ SoC that is paired with 6GB of RAM. It will run on the Android 14 OS based One UI OS out of the box. The Bluetooth SIG certification confirms support for Bluetooth 5.3.

Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy XCover 7 sometime in the first quarter of next year. Unfortunately, the finer details like its pricing and launch date have yet to be revealed.
