Earlier this month, OnePlus unveiled the OnePlus 12 equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip in the Chinese market. Now, the brand is gearing up to launch the Ace 3 featuring the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC in the home market. In a new leak, tipster Digital Chat Station has revealed that a mid-range Ace-branded phone is also in the works.
OnePlus Ace 3V key specifications (rumored)
According to the leaker, OnePlus is working on an Ace-branded phone equipped with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset. He added that the device will come equipped with a flat display that offers a 1.5K resolution. While he did not mention the name of the device, it appears that it will be marketed as the OnePlus Ace 3V when it arrives on the market.
The OnePlus Ace 3V is expected to replace the Ace 2V, which debuted in March 2023. Since most of the new smartphones are launching around a month earlier than their predecessors, the Ace 3V may likely debut in February or March 2024.
To recall, the OnePlus Ace 2V was rebranded as the OnePlus Nord 3 in the global market. Hence, it is likely that the Ace 3V may break cover as the OnePlus Nord 4 or Nord 5 globally. The other details of the Ace 3V / Nord 4 are not known yet. The Ace 2V was priced at 2,299 Yuan (~$321) at launch. Hence, it is likely that the Ace 3V may carry similar pricing.
Speaking of the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chip, it has already been seen on the Honor 100 and the Vivo S18. The said chipset is also expected to power the Realme 12 Pro series, which is expected to break cover in Q1 2024.
