Huawei is gearing up to launch the Nova 12 series smartphones in China on December 26. The lineup is expected to comprise of lite (vitality edition), standard, pro, and ultra variants. Plenty of information has leaked about the Huawei Nova 12 series phones. Now, a day ahead of the launch, the processors of the upcoming offerings has been leaked courtesy of reliable Digital Chat Station. 

Huawei Nova 12 series chipset details leaked

As per leaks, the Huawei Nova 12 Lite or Vitality Edition will be equipped with a Snapdragon 778 4G processor. Meanwhile, the Nova 12 Pro is said to be powered by the new Kirin 8000 SoC with support for 5G connectivity. This also got confirmed in an alleged leaked live image that surfaced earlier today. The top-end Nova 12 Ultra will reportedly feature the Kirin 9000 SL chipset onboard. It has not powered any Huawei phone before but speculations hint at an underclocked version of the Kirin 9000S. 

As per past rumors, the Huawei Nova 12 Pro and Ultra are expected to pack similar to each other. These include a 6.78-inch curved OLED display with a 1.5K resolution, a 60MP + 8MP dual front camera, and a 50MP OIS-enabled triple rear camera setup. Both phones will reportedly come with support for two-way satellite communication technology. Additionally, the devices will also support 100W fast charging. 

Meanwhile, the Huawei Nova 12 Lite or Vitality Edition will feature an OLED display with an integrated fingerprint scanner. It will have a 60MP front camera and a 50MP rear sensor. The device is tipped to pack 8GB RAM and 256GB storage.
