The OnePlus 9RT is receiving its second update of the month. After receiving the December 2023 security patch update, the company is rolling out another update with minor fixes. The firmware OxygenOS 13.1.0.595 is making slight changes as per the official changelog. However, we expect the issue could have affected several users; that’s why the company rolled out another update in the same month.
The new firmware is currently rolling out to users in India. However, we expect it to reach a broader audience in the coming few days. Below is a snippet of the official changelog:
Interested users can check for updates by heading to Device Settings > About Menu > Software Update > Check for Updates. It is a staggered update and may take some time to reach each unit. If the user finds any issue, they can easily submit it using Google Dialer with the code *#800#. However, OnePlus is regularly seeding monthly security patches for the OnePlus 9RT smartphone.
Additionally, the OnePlus 9RT is nearing the OxygenOS 14 stable update, as the smartphone has already received the OxygenOS Open Beta 2 and Open Beta 1 updates. The OxygenOS 14 stable update is already available for devices like the OnePlus 11 Series, OnePlus 10 Pro, OnePlus 10R, OnePlus Nord 3, and OnePlus Pad.
There are plenty of new features that are part of OxygenOS 14, including the new Aquamorphic design, which offers themed ringtones and revamps system notification sounds. The new design system improves system animations and makes them feel more natural and gentle. Following the Android 14 security and privacy features, it is now safer to access apps on OxygenOS 14 with streamlined video-related permissions. There are plenty of other changes that are part of the new update.
