Redmi Note 13 series software info tipped

The Redmi Note 13 series shipped with Android 13 OS out of the box in China. As per tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore, all the upcoming Note 13 devices in India and other global markets will come pre-installed with MIUI 14-based Android 13. The smartphones will also reportedly get three years of Android OS updates up to Android 16 and four years of security patches. This is good news since the Xiaomi sub-brand Note series usually gets 2 years of OS updates.

The tipster adds that the Redmi Note 13 series will not get Xiaomi’s HyperOS anytime soon. Yesterday, the company announced the second batch of devices eligible for the update that is expected to commence between January and June 2024.

As for the core specifications, the Redmi Note 13 lineup features a 6.67-inch 120Hz AMOLED display and a 16MP selfie snapper. The trio have a triple rear camera setup with the standard model having a 108MP main sensor and the pro and pro plus sporting a 200MP primary lens. The Note 13 is powered by a Dimensity 6050 processor and a 5,000mAh battery. On the other hand, the Pro and Pro+ variants are equipped with a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 and Dimensity 7200 chipsets respectively.
