To recall, Redmi unveiled the Redmi 12C smartphone just before the end of 2022 in China. With the year 2023 almost coming to an end, the brand has announced the Redmi 13C 5G for the home market. It is the same device that debuted in India earlier this month. Here is a look at the specifications, features, and price of the device.

The Redmi 13C 5G has arrived with a 6.74-inch IPS LCD panel with a waterdrop notch. It offers an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels, a 90Hz refresh rate, up to 600 nits of peak brightness, and supports DC dimming. For security, it has a side-facing fingerprint scanner.

Under the hood, the Redmi 13C 5G has the Dimensity 6100 Plus chipset. The phone ships with up to 8 GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256 GB of UFS 2.2 storage. For additional storage, the device is equipped with a microSD card slot. It comes preloaded with the MIUI 14-based Android 13.

The 13C 5G has a 5-megapixel camera on the front. Its back panel has a 50-megapixel main camera, a 2-megapixel auxiliary lens, and an LED flash. The device packs a 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W charging. However, its retail package includes a 10W charger.

The phone comes with other features, such as dual SIM support, 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, a USB-C port, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a side-facing fingerprint scanner. For those who don’t know, the same device is also known as the Redmi 13R 5G in China, as well as the Poco M6 5G in India and other markets.

In China, the Redmi 13C 5G is available in three options, such as 4 GB RAM + 128 GB storage for 749 Yuan (~$106), 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage for 849 Yuan (~$120), and 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage for 1,049 Yuan (~$149). It comes in two shades: Rainbow Star Yarn and Star Rock Black.
