On Jan. 4, Honor will unveil the Honor X50 GT in China. It will be the second GT-series phone to follow after the Honor 90 GT, which debuted with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 earlier this month. Yesterday, the brand confirmed the design, configurations, and color options of the X50 GT. Today, it revealed the chipset that will power the device.

Honor has confirmed that the Honor X50 GT will feature the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset. The performance-driven phone will have Honor GPU Turbo for an enhanced gaming experience. According to the brand, the X50 GT unleashes maximized Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 performance, surpassing the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, particularly noticeable in gaming scenarios where it achieves superior frame rates.

Honor X50 GT specifications (rumored)

As per reports, the Honor X50 GT will have a 6.78-nich OLED display that offers a 1.5K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and an in-screen fingerprint sensor. The SD8+G1 chip could be accompanied by LPDDR5 RAM, UFS 3.1 storage, and a 5100mm² VC heat dissipation unit.

The X50 GT may pack a 5,800mAh battery with 35W charging support. It will have an 8-megapixel camera on the front and a 108-megapixel + 2-megapixel dual-camera setup on the back. It will run on Magic OS 7.2-based Android 14.

Honor X50 GT price (rumored)

The Honor X50 GT is expected to arrive with a 1,999 Yuan (~$283) starting price. As confirmed by the brand, it will be available in variants such as 12GB+256GB, 16GB+256GB, 16GB+512GB, and 16GB+1TB. It will be available in shades such as Magic Night Black and Silver Winged God of War.
