Xiaomi has started releasing the HyperOS update for Xiaomi 13 Pro (review) smartphones in India. Xiaomi India’s Marketing Associate Director has also confirmed the arrival of the update on this smartphone by sharing screenshots on Twitter.

The Xiaomi 13 Pro HyperOS update carries the version 1.0.1.0.UMBINXM and has a file size of 1.9 GB. Additionally, it includes the Android security patch for December 2023.

The rollout is currently underway, with Xiaomi assuring users that it will be accessible to all by January 2024. The update brings several enhancements, including:

  • Upgraded memory management engine to enhance resource allocation and memory usage efficiency.

  • Enhanced Lock screen with photo effects and dynamic rendering.
  • New Home screen icons with refreshed shapes and colors.
  • Improved multitasking with an upgraded multi-window interface.

Xiaomi also revealed that the Xiaomi Pad 6 is scheduled to receive the update in January. Although the recently launched Redmi Note 13 Pro and Note 13 Pro+ devices are currently running on Android 13-based MIUI 14, Xiaomi assures users that these devices are HyperOS-ready and will receive the update soon. Other than that, the upcoming POCO X6 Pro 5G will be confirmed to be the first smartphone to ship with HyperOS out of the box. The X6 5G series will launch on January 11 alongside the POCO M6 4G.
