Samsung has officially announced the Galaxy XCover 7 smartphone which is a successor to the Galaxy XCover 6 launched last year. The new smartphone comes with a rugged design and versatility for businesses and enterprises. The Samsung Galaxy XCover 7 is capable of working seamlessly under rough conditions. The phone also offers 5G wireless network connectivity as well as a bigger memory for improved performance.

The Samsung Galaxy XCover 7 comes with improved performance, a better primary camera setup, a bigger screen, and a higher resolution. It has an industry build with its IP68 water-resistant and MIL-STD-810H ratings. The phone can work in challenging conditions and is also equipped with Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection for the phone’s display. The battery of the phone is user-replaceable and can be easily swapped if required. The phone has a 6.6-inch FHD+ TFT display with a display refresh rate of 60Hz. The screen has improved touch sensitivity that allows a person wearing gloves to operate the phone.

Samsung says that the new Galaxy XCover 7 rugged smartphone is powered by the unnamed 6nm octa-core chip that could well be the Dimensity 6100+. The Galaxy XCover 7 comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage expandable to 1TB via a microSD slot. The camera setup of the Samsung Galaxy XCover 7 includes a 50MP camera and a front-facing 5MP sensor. The phone also comes with a customizable XCover key, barcode scanner functionality via Knox Capture and Dolby Atmos audio standard.

The Samsung Galaxy XCover 7 has a 4,050mAh battery that can be replaced if needed. It weighs 240g and has dimensions of 169 x 80.1 x 10.2 mm. The phone also comes with a 3.5mm audio jack, POGO pins, and a USB-C port. The Samsung Galaxy XCover 7 will run on Android 14 and One UI 6 out of the box.

Pricing & Availability

The phone will enter the market at the end of January 2024. Samsung has not provided the price and global availability information of the Galaxy XCover 7 smartphone.
