Samsung will be launching the Galaxy S24 series flagship smartphones on January 17. After that is done, the brand will unveil its A-series mid-range devices. The Galaxy A55 will be headlining the lineup this year. The A55 has just picked up the TUV Rheinland certification, revealing its charging details.

The certification details, uncovered by The Tech Outlook, indicate that the Galaxy A55, identified by model numbers SM-A556B/DS, SM-A556E/DS, SM-A556E, and SM-A5560, will feature 25W fast charging support. Presently, Samsung incorporates 25W fast charging in most of its smartphones, reserving 45W fast charging for its flagship Galaxy S-series models.

In terms of expected specifications, the Galaxy A55 is rumored to be equipped with the Exynos 1480 chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It will likely debut with Android 14 with One UI 6.1, which is expected to be unveiled soon. A 120Hz 6.5-inch flat display boasting Full HD+ resolution is anticipated to be onboard as well.

Earlier leaks hinted at the Galaxy A55 arriving in Awesome Ice Blue, Awesome Lilac, and Awesome Navy Blue color variants, adding a touch of style to its impressive features.

In related news, another tightly anticipated mid-range device from Samsung called the Galaxy M55 5G has appeared on the Bureau of Indian Standards certification website. It is expected to debut within a few weeks in the Indian market.
