The Google Pixel Watch 2 is a stylish smartwatch with excellent performance, features, and battery life. But, many have complained that it’s too small, being only available in a 41mm size. This is smaller than what competitors like Samsung offer, with sizes going up to 47mm.
Google is reportedly addressing this issue with the Pixel Watch 3, which is expected to come in two sizes. The exact case sizes are unknown, but the larger option will be bigger than the 41mm Pixel Watch 2.
A bigger casing could allow Google to fit in a larger display, like a 1.3-inch screen, and a bigger battery for improved battery life. It could also allow for more health sensors.
The larger version of the Pixel Watch 3 is expected to use 22mm bands, which are wider than the 20mm bands used in the current model. Google should also make the watch look sleeker by reducing the bezel around the screen.
This larger Pixel Watch would be perfect for people with bigger wrists or those who need a longer-lasting battery. The Pixel Watch 2 already lasts 24 hours with its always-on display feature, but a bigger model would likely have an even better battery.
The Pixel Watch 3 is expected to launch in early October, at the same time as the new Pixel 9 series, following Google’s pattern from the past two years. As for the technology inside, it’s expected to use the same Snapdragon W5 chipset as the Pixel Watch 2, since there’s no news about a new chipset for Wear OS.
