Google debuted the Pixel 8 series back in October 2023, with the vanilla model getting Obsidian, Hazel, and Rose color options, while the Pro model launched in Obsidian, Porcelain, and Bay colors. Now, Google has announced that the series will be getting a new color option soon.

The announcement was made through the company’s official Twitter account, featuring a binary sequence teasing the arrival of a “Fresh year, fresh drop.” The accompanying link directs users to the Google Store and a teaser video showcasing the phrase “itsaliving” in Mint Green, offering a glimpse of the upcoming color option.

On January 25, 2024, the same day as the color reveal, Google is hosting a mural painting event in downtown NYC with the artist @itsaliving.

The Pixel 8 series, introduced in October 2023, currently consists of two smartphones, with a third model (Pixel 8a) anticipated later in 2024. The specific model getting the Minty Fresh color is still a secret until next week.
