Samsung‘s budget Galaxy A series recently got an update, with the recent launches of the A15 5G and A25 5G smartphones. Now, it’s the M and F series’ turn, with the upcoming M15 and F15 5G smartphones spotted in India’s BIS certification database.

The Galaxy M15 5G and F15 5G smartphones have secured the BIS certification with model numbers SM-M156B and SM-E156B, respectively.

While the listing doesn’t reveal the official names, we can make an educated guess based on previous models. The M14 and F14 used model numbers SM-M146B and SM-E146B, and following the pattern, the M15 and F15 likely have model numbers SM-M156B and SM-E156B, respectively.

More details are expected to surface soon, as these phones have yet to be certified anywhere else. However, rumors suggest the M15 might pack a hefty 6000mAh battery with 25W fast charging.

Speculation also points to the M15 and F15 being slightly tweaked versions of the recently launched A15 5G.

So, we can look at the A15’s specs for a glimpse of what to expect. The phone introduces a fresh design element called the “key island,” a raised area for the power and volume buttons. There’s a 6.5-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution, a 90Hz refresh rate, and 800 nits of peak brightness.

Powering the smartphone is a MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ processor coupled with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. Software-wise, the headset boots on Android 14-based OneUI 6, and Samsung is also promising four generations of Android upgrades and 5 years of security updates.

Around the back, the phone has a triple-camera setup consisting of a 50MP primary, a 5MP ultrawide, and a 2MP macro sensor.  There’s a 13MP camera on the front for selfies and video calls.
