In November 2023, Redmi introduced the Redmi K70 series of smartphones in China. The series, comprising the Redmi K70, the Redmi K70, and the Redmi K70 Pro, officially went on sale on Dec. 1. Within the initial 14 days of availability, the company established a new record for its K-series, surpassing the 1 million unit mark in sales. Within the period between Dec. 15 and Jan. 30, spanning a total of 46 days, the Redmi K70 series achieved sales of 1 million units. This means that the company achieved an average daily sales volume of approximately 22,000 units. In general, the K70 series maintained an average daily sales volume of approximately 33,000 units.

The Redmi K70e, K70, and K70 Pro are the first Redmi-branded Xiaomi phones to ship with the HyperOS-based Android 14. The Redmi K70e, which has a starting price of 1,999 Yuan (~$280) in China, is the world’s first phone to feature the Dimensity 8300-Ultra chipset. A rebranded version of the same device is available with the Poco X6 Pro moniker in the global market.

The Redmi K70 features the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and starts at 2,499 Yuan (~$350). On the other hand, the Redmi K70 Pro has the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and is priced at 3,299 Yuan (~$465).

Speculations are rife that the Redmi K70 may get rebranded as the Poco F6 Pro in the global market. As far as the K70 Pro is concerned, it may remain exclusive to the Chinese market.
