Lava has officially announced a new update for its popular Agni 2 5G smartphone. The update has a bunch of improvements in tow along with the January 2024 Android security patch.
The official changelog poster via Lava mentions that the update has the following changes:
- January 2024 Security update
- Battery Performance optimization
- Display Touch Optimization
- Bug Fixes
The update promises to improve the battery performance of the device and also improve the responsiveness of the touch screen. The changelog also mentions “Bug Fixes”, however, Lava does not reveal any details about the fixes. That being said, the January 2024 itself patches a total of 58 vulnerabilities, 10 of which are of high severity related to Framework and System.

The Agni 2 5G boasts a 6.78-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display, offering a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, and a wide 105% NTSC color gamut. Running on the MediaTek Dimensity 7050 processor and operating on Android 13, it comes equipped with a 50MP quad-camera setup on the rear and a 16MP front camera. Connectivity features encompass 5G support, in-display fingerprint sensing, and a USB-C port for a rapid 66W fast-charging battery.
