Xiaomi is set to announce the Xiaomi 14 Ultra globally on Feb. 25. However, the brand will first hold a dedicated launch event in China on Feb. 22 to unveil its most premium flagship phone. Yesterday, Xiaomi released several images showcasing the device’s design. Today, the company confirmed details of the primary, telephoto, and periscope zoom camera units.

Xiaomi 14 Ultra camera specifications

Xiaomi has confirmed that the Xiaomi 14 Ultra will be equipped with a 50-megapixel LYT-900 primary camera. It is the second-generation one-inch Sony camera sensor, which succeeds the Sony IMX989 primary camera that was made available on the Xiaomi 13 Ultra last year. The main camera of the 14 Ultra supports a variable aperture of f/1.63 to f/4.0.

When it comes to telephoto shots, the 14 Ultra will offer users a 50-megapixel IMX858 camera sensor that offers an f/1.8 aperture, 75mm focal length, and a 3.2x optical zoom. The company further confirmed that the 14 Ultra will feature a 50-megapixel Sony IMX858 periscope telephoto camera that offers an f/2.5 aperture, a 120mm focal length, and a 5x optical zoom.

The company is yet to confirm the details of the ultra-wide lens of the 14 Ultra. The device will likely inherit the 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens with macro photography capabilities that were seen on the predecessor model.

As far as other specs are concerned, reports have revealed that the Xiaomi 14 Ultra will have a 6.73-inch AMOLED 2K 120Hz display, a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, and a 5,300mAh battery that supports 90W wired and 50W wireless charging. The device is expected to run on Android 14 with a layer of HyperOS on top. For selfies, the device is likely to feature a 32-megapixel front-facing camera. Lastly, it is expected to ship with up to 16 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage.
