Garmin has launched two new smartwatches. The latest offerings from the wearables maker are a part of the Forerunner series. These are the Forerunner 165 and Forerunner 165 Music. Both devices are identical to each other and the only difference separating them is the presence of onboard music functionality. Read on to know the technical specifications of the latest wearable devices. 

Garmin Forerunner 165 and 165 Music specifications

The Garmin Forerunner 165 smarwatches have a circular dial with two physical buttons on the right side and three on the left. They are water-resistant up to 50 meters. The devices feature a 1.2-inch AMOLED display. 

The Garmin Forerunner 165 series is aimed at runners and athletes. Hence, both models pack various running-related features like race adaptive training, race predictor, wrist-based running dynamics, and more. As usual, the wearable devices are equipped with the common other features. These include heart-rate monitor (along with HRV), pulse ox sensor, VO2 Max, sleep monitor, body battery energy monitor, women’s health tracker etc. The Forerunner 165 duo have sleep tracking along with the ability to detect naps and monitor stress levels. The smartwatch also offers a morning report that consists of an overview of sleep and training outlook. 

The Garmin Forerunner 165 series come with 25 built-in activities. There is also built-in GPS with PacePro feature. The smartwatches are claimed to deliver 11 days of battery life in normal mode and 19 hours with GPS enabled. 

The Garmin Forerunner 165 comes with convenient features like livetrack, safety and tracking, smart notifications, Garmin Pay, and more. The Forerunner 165 Music has 4GB onboard storage for downloading and storing songs and playlist from Spotify, Amazon Music, and Deezer. It also offers audio prompts that delivers audio updates when paired with a smartphone. 

The Garmin Forerunner 165 is priced at $249 whereas the Forerunner 165 Music costs $299. Both are offered in Black and Mist Gray colors. There is also an additional color options for the standard and music variants. These are Turquoise and Berry.
