The OnePlus 9R received its Android 14-based OxygenOS 14 update in the first week of January. The device has now received two more updates that feature some performance improvements, bug fixes, and the latest security patch.

The first update is OxygenOS 13.1.0.586 which brings the February 2024 Android security patch to the OnePlus 9R. The update also removes the Background stream feature in the Smart Sidebar due to compliance issues.

The second update is OxygenOS 14.0.0.301 which brings many improvements over the previous version. It includes improvement to overall system stability and performance. It improves battery life in some scenarios and fixes an issue where the fingerprint icon remains on the screen even after unlocking the device. Last but not least, the overall camera stability is also improved in this update.

The updates will be gradually rolled out in incremental phases. Individuals who have not yet received them can patiently await the broader roll-out scheduled to occur in the coming days.

If users come across any bugs or issues, they have the option to submit them for analysis by using the Google Dialer *#800#. Additionally, users can visit the OnePlus Community to file reports.

In related news, OnePlus is gearing up to launch the OnePlus 12R Genshin Impact edition smartphone in India and across the globe. Other than the visual and software customization, the device is also said to feature a unique “optical projection” feature.
